This is my first time to ever have a chance to own one of these luxurious antique mohair muffs and I have loved them as an accessory for French bebes. This one is clean and very thick with long wavy mohair--the kind of mohair you love to see in a doll wig! The inside of the muff is stuffed with old cotton and you can see the skin in places. The cotton string might be replaced with silk ribbon for special effect. The muff itself is 7 inches wide and 6-1/2 inches long (top to bottom). The mohair hangs approximately 13 inches. The string drops 10 inches, but this could of course be shortened or lengthened depending on the height of your doll. I estimate it to be appropriate for a doll 30-42 inches, possibly smaller or larger.
