Doll 1898 - Sz 12 Closed Mouth Depose Tete Jumeau, Medaille d'Or Body

This is one of the early Tete Jumeau models that closely resemble the earlier Incised Depose Jumeau due to the smaller eyecuts with a deeper set and slightly swollen nose bridge. She also has the shy face and thinner brows. This is definitely the look of a Tete that I prefer and a bargain when compared to her predecessor Incised Depose. She is a "super size" model at 25 inches and on her very chunky straight wrists stamped "Medaille d'Or" Jumeau body. Her costume is breathtaking, possibly original, with some shredding in the silk satin wide box pleated skirt. Her antique French shoes are marked "C.C." The beautiful honey blonde antique hand-tied human hair wig hangs in curls over her shoulders. I am especially fond of the beautiful antique wire-framed netting and ribbon bebe bonnet. What an outstanding model for a collection of French bebes!
