Doll 1897 - Beautiful Large China Half Doll or Pincushion Doll


MW 517-503 Half doll with character face that, according to Frieda Marion and Norma Werner, may represent a character in one of the novels by Charles Dickens. She has a plump face and sharply defined nose, and wears a bonnet with bows on each side and ties under her chin. The reticule hangs from under her shawl. Beautiful pastel shades and outstanding modeling. No damage or restoration. This is a rare one.
