Charming as any French fashion, this lovely German lady is dressed eloquently for a masquerade ball in her antique silk taffeta French style two piece ensemble (showing its age) and carrying a paper mache feather mask. Her bisque shoulder head is slightly turned. The antique chapeau sits lightly on top of her head. She has a solid dome head covered in what appears to be her original long curled human hair wig. She has beautiful blue glass eyes (factory stationary) and closed shaded lips. The original German kid fashion body has lower bisque hands. The superb quality of this doll indicates she was manufactured by a leading German dollmaker and my guess would be J. D. Kestner.
