My favorite belton--the one marked 137 which is often referred to as the long face belton due to the resemblance to the Triste Jumeau. She has gorgeous creamy very pale bisque, mauve lid shading, black outlined blue spiral paperweight eyes, outlined lips with tongue space between them, feathered brows, upper and lower lashes, red highlight dots in the inside corner of each eye and pierced ears. I was told one ear pierce chip had a minor touchup but I have not been able to find it. Besides a firing line in the crease behind one ear, I cannot find any imperfections. Her antique mohair wig appears to be original. The belton style body is the heavy one with thick straight upper wood legs and cupped hands and unjoined wrists. The original body retains the factory patina with normal wear. The clothing is absolutely gorgeous--powder blue silk satin, completely lined, with ecru lace trim and lots of pleats, tucks and gathers. Her French style bonnet matches the dress and has ruching and floral embellishment. She has 3 layers of antique unders and replacement leather antique style tie front shoes. This doll would enhance any collection as she is the top of the line French type belton.
