Doll 1870 - Specially Made Department Store Model "R 10 R" by Jumeau

The special commissioned bebes manufactured by Jumeau were quite elaborate and dressed by couturiers for the Parish department stores around 1892. This RR model is among those special bebes, along with the Bebe Louvre. This example is truly an outstanding example of the premium quality bisque and fine artistry used in manufacturing their boutique line of dolls. Her wool challis dress does not stand alone as she also has the matching coat and tam with the word "mignon" stamped in gold lettering on the brim. Her antique red silk shoes have a front medallion and ties at the ankles. She has her original cork pate and luciously full and long blonde mohair wig. Her bisque is pale with lightly blushed cheeks. Her lips are delicately outlined at the peaks and lower edges. If you want to complete or even begin a Jumeau collection, this is a harder to find model with a very desirable expressive face.
