Charming Kestner dolly with slightly parted outlined lips, tiny teeth, beautiful sky blue glass sleep eyes, feathered brows, upper and lower lashes and beautiful unblemished bisque. Her Kestner body is marked with the red stamp "Germany" inside a rectangle and body size "0." The original plaster pate is still in tact and her head opening is more slanted than the later models. A tiny bit of the original lid wax is worn. Her body has the original patina with possibly perfected repaint to her hands. Her original mohair wig is replaced with a darling side-part German style mohair wig. She is wearing antique clothing which consists of a detailed cotton, lace-trimmed blouse with a lace jabot and a flocked swiss apron style pleated frock with cotton lace trim on the Bertha collar and short pinafore wings, pantaloons and straw hat with a spray of cloth flowers and ribbon. Her shoes are replacement vintage leather shoes and her socks are antique cotton crocheted. This is a beautiful example from the J. D. Kestner factory during the pre-mold number era.
