Doll 1857- Flirtatious Franz Schmidt Original Flapper


This is such a darling flapper teenage style German doll by Franz Schmidt. She bears the mark S&C on the back of her beautiful bisque head. Her real hair lashes are still present. She has feathered brows, pierced "breather" nostrils and outlined slightly parted lips. Her blue glass eyes sleep. Her golden blonde mohair wig is original to her and is styled in a flapper style with a silk ribbon intertwined in curls. Her original fully jointed teen body is the one with high knee joints and very shapely limbs. She has rubber hands that are frequently found on these and toddler bodies of this era. Her dress is so adorable with pink silk ribbon beading and a drop waist style. This is a really superior quality doll. Heads for Franz Schmidt dolls were made by Simon Halbig.
