This is a fabulous estate doll with a beautiful hump back trunk and lots of clothing and extras. It is a small size 12 inch blue eyed Laughing Jumeau on her original five-piece baby body with the original finish in excellent condition. She is dressed in what looks to be her original dress. She is wearing an organdy bonnet with pink flowers and ribbon rosette trim. The doll is a prime example of the 236 mold with pale and flawless bisque. She has an open/closed mouth with two tiny molded upper teeth and tongue molding. Her blue eyes sleep and her original lid wax is present. I gave her a replacement hand sewn mohair wig because hers appeared to have been eaten by moths. Her trunk is lined in pink paper and has fabric strips on the bottom of the removable tray. Besides the dress, one piece underset, bonnet and booties she is wearing, inside the trunk are the following antique items: two factory chemises; two delicately and lovingly hand-made dresses; two cotton gowns (one trimmed in pink silk ribbon; one pink floral romper; one pink knit long legged underwear; one button front knit undershirt; one pillow with pillow case (her size); one hand-made cotton blanket with pink feather stitching and a beautiful lace coverlet (?) with tiny pink floral bunches. Her clothing has been cleaned and pressed and her trunk has been dusted out and all are ready for a new owner. Some little girl almost 100 years ago was made very happy when she received this doll on Christmas morning!
