Doll 1839 - La Semaine de Suzette Mascotte BLEUETTE

Marked Unis France 60 on her head, measuring 10-5/8 inches tall, having the "2" on her back and "1" on her feet, and having the SFBJ red sticker on her back, you do not have to wonder if this darling is the authentic and so well liked BLEUETTE that has taken doll collectors back to the early 1900's through Bleuette chat rooms, web sites, newsletters and other Bleuette gatherings. She is indeed an outstanding model of her era, having not so-brightly blushed cheeks, lighter flesh tint, no blemishes or rubs, artistically feathered brows and delicately painted lips. Her blue eyes sleep very well and she has most of her real hair upper lashes. Bleuette is dressed in antique clothing in the nautical style and a darling lightweight wool cape with plaid lining. I cannot say positively they are original but they are definitely what I consider appropriate and period to her. The bisque quality is excellent and her body has the original patina with possibly a few light touchup strokes.
