28" American Composition Bed Doll, Fabulously Dressed

Doll 1836 - 1930's Composition Boudoir Doll, Original Tag Attached

Not my thing, but these composition bed dolls have become extremely popular among collectors, especially in this condition and so crisp and original. I consider her to be in "unplayed with" condition and except for a few specks of missing top layer of paint on the side of her neck, she is close to mint. Her clothing is crisp with no fading or damage and her hat and wig are still attached to her head. Her crinoline slip is stiff and has the original sales tag attached which says, "Crowley, Milner & Co. / Detroit, Mich. (some lightly stamped numbers, probably merchandise no.)" and the original price of "$2.29." She has bright facial coloring and her lips are glossy red. She has deep purple eye shadow. She has a composition shoulder head and 3/4 composition arms and lower legs with molded and painted high heel pumps. The rest of her body is cloth and her bright pink crinolin pantaloons are originally pinned to the top of her legs. This is a fabulous find in condition and originality for a 75-year-old composition doll.
