Doll 1677 - Gans & Seafarth Character 301 Toddler, Sep. Applied Tongue

This little character toddler is made by a German maker that sold dolls for a short period and they are seldom found. The quality of the bisque head looks like that of K*R/Simon Halbig dolls. She is superior quality with outstanding presence and pert expression. She has blue glass sleep eyes, upper and lower painted lashes, wispy short-stroked feathered brows and two upper "bunny" teeth. Her original wig and pate were first-time removed by me to check the inside of her head. Her tongue is separately applied similiar to a wobble tongue. She appears to be wearing her original lace-trimmed chemise and underpants. We added her vintage wide-brim bonnet and slip. Her 5-piece toddler body has some light touchups on the fingers and toes but is in overall excellent condition and the quality is superb, nice and heavy with red lines between the fingers and toes. No rubs on the bisque of this cute fat-cheek character. Her toddler playmate in the last photo is no longer available.
