This is a beautiful little girl by Simon Halbig. She is on her original wood and composition fully jointed body, the earlier style with the wood upper legs. The original finish has some wear with light touchup at the ball joints on the lower legs, and the very tip of her left thumb is missing. You will love her vibrant expression! She has beautiful chocolate brown sleep eyes, outlined open lips with tiny teeth and feathered brows. Her ears are pierced. This mold typically has the high forehead with the pate opening on the back of the head like the French bebes. She is marked S 6-1/2 H / DEP / St / Germany on the back of her head. She is wearing a homespun antique cotton dress and lace bonnet. She has a beautiful antique mohair wig with the original set.
