1820’s Peg Wooden Doll in Presentation Box

Doll 1096

Early 1820’s Peg Wooden Doll, originally dressed, and presented in a wood box with ornamentation. She has a tuck comb on the back of her head although it is covered by the tiny beaded hair piece. She is tied into the box in which she was displayed but she can be easily removed. I believe the tiny beads around her neck were added to cover the string that is attached to the hook in the presentation box. She is in excellent original condition considering her age. A true piece of doll history!
