Body 5006 - Early Antique Wood French Body, Straight Wrists


RARE early French body, made of wood, with wood balls attached to the lower arms and lower legs. Separated wood ball joints at the shoulders and hips with deep joint openings. The wrists are unjointed. The body has the original pale yellowish patina, not pinkish, showing minimal wear at the joints and fingers. There is a crack on one arm and what appears to be glue from old tape that was removed. Some paint chipping on the inside of the right upper arm and very slight wear around the neck hole. No marks. This is a rare body and is extremely heavy due to the entire body being made of wood. This body is appropriate for your very earliest French Portrait bebe. The neck measures 2 inches across the opening.
